Another day, another repair - or two!
We've had two different wooden chairs in two weeks here at the Repair Shop.
This oak chair had a broken upright in a less-than-ideal location. To repair it, I had to route a channel so I could glue in a strengthening oak bar from the rear. Clamping things like this together whilst waiting for the glue to dry is always a challenge, so I made an angled jig to help clamp it together.
A good repair and a happy customer - result!
Other repairs this week included various Dysons, an X-Box controller, a Braun electric toothbrush and a table light.
Outlier of this week: a Tracy Island toy that had a badly corroded battery and button contacts. It's now back in working order ready for the next Thunderbird mission!
